This edition shares the latest news release from Rio Tinto regarding the sale of Rio Tinto Lake MacLeod Salt to Leichhardt, plus a reminder of the invitation from Department of Primary Industries & Regional Development to all food and beverage manufacturing businesses to an information session about the latest services and programs on offer.

There is also an invitation to join the FREE Grow Local Online Business Directory and information about free training and assistance for small businesses with a poll to have your say about workshops you would like Grow Local Carnarvon to deliver in 2024.

2023 NEWSLETTERS

August 2023

August was a month filled with Professional Development Skills training, with 4x workshops delivered by David Alsemma, motivational speaker and co-author of the book Millionaire Motivators - How to Find What You Love to Do and Get Paid to Do it. The workshops gave attendees new skills including Effective Business Communication, Productivity & Stress Management, Strategic Conflict Resolution & the opportunity to learn about Sales Strategies.

September 2023

An opportunity to celebrate Women's Health Week 2023, Grow Local Carnarvon held the first Women In Business INSPIRE FORUM, with host and special guest speaker Elsa Mitchell, entrepreneur, business coach and former Forbes Australia contributor delivering a workshop focusing on sharing lessons in business with actionable strategies for the amazing business women of Carnarvon.  We then had the privilege of listening to a panel of local business women share their experiences, challenges and lessons learnt through the course of their years of business experience. Participants also had the opportunity to win a 1-1 mentoring series and 4x week online training course with Elsa.

December 2023

The Carnarvon Chamber of Commerce, with thanks to sponsors Rio Tinto, Shire of Carnarvon, Gascoyne Development Commission, Fortuna Advisory Services, Sandhurst Security, Peter Foster MLC, Hastings Tech Metals, Liberal party, Province Ltd and Focus Carnarvon again held the Buy Local 2023 campaign, with the grand prize draw held at the Carnarvon Xmas Street Party.
